First of all, thank you for your continued support, patience, and belief in Wicked Echoes. It truly means a lot to us.
We want to take a moment to openly share where things currently stand and give you a clear picture of the progress.
📖 A Project of This Scale Takes Time
Wicked Echoes is a very large project, and one of the biggest parts of it is the sheer amount of writing involved.
From deep lore and worldbuilding to mechanics, encounters, and systems, there is a significant volume of content that needs to be carefully developed, reviewed, and refined. This is not just about filling pages - it’s about making sure everything feels connected, immersive, and true to the world we are building.
🎨 Artwork - Balancing Quality and Scale
Artwork is another major part of bringing Wicked Echoes to life.
Because the project includes a large number of illustrations, we are working within a defined production budget. This means we collaborate with budget-conscious artists, but we are extremely careful in selecting who we work with in order to maintain the highest possible quality.
Every artist is chosen with attention, and each piece goes through multiple stages - from initial concepts and sketches to revisions and final approval. This careful process takes time, but it ensures that the final result stays consistent with the dark folklore atmosphere we want to achieve.
⚖️ Why Things Are Taking Longer
We understand that the process has taken longer than initially expected.
This is not due to inactivity, but rather the opposite - it comes from the amount of work, coordination, revisions, and decision-making required to complete a project of this scale properly.
We made a clear decision not to rush any part of Wicked Echoes. Cutting corners would compromise both the writing and the artwork, and that is not something we are willing to do.

We are continuing to work actively on all aspects of the project - writing, artwork, and overall development.
Our focus remains the same:
- Deliver a complete and polished experience
- Stay true to the dark folklore vision
- Ensure both content and visuals meet the expected quality

Dear Adventurers,
We want to give you an important update on the current progress of Wicked Echoes and reassure you that the project is very much alive and still moving forward.
First, we want to sincerely apologize for the recent radio silence. Our team has been fully focused on production tasks behind the scenes, but we understand that silence can be worrying. We are very sorry for that, and starting now, we will make sure to post updates more regularly so you always know where things stand.
As many of you know, Wicked Echoes is a large and highly ambitious project. From the beginning, we promised that this world would be crafted with care, authenticity, and quality. To honor that promise, we have been searching for the right illustrators, concept artists, and 3D model designers who can capture the exact atmosphere and tone of the Grimmholdt Realm.
This process has taken longer than expected.
Finding artists whose style fits the dark folklore direction, while also staying within our planned budget, has been challenging. We won’t compromise the artistic quality of Wicked Echoes, and we won’t use AI-generated artwork. Every piece in this project will be created by real artists, with real passion and craftsmanship.
We know that this delay is frustrating, and we are truly sorry for the extra waiting time. Please know that we are working every day to move things forward and assemble the right creative team to bring this world to life exactly as promised.
Your patience and support mean everything to us. We will continue updating you as new milestones are reached, and we cannot wait to show you the incredible work that is coming.

🎨 Art Update Delay (But for Good Reason!)
We promised you another haunting art preview, and it’s almost ready… almost. We’re holding off just a little longer because we’re waiting on a few final pieces that are currently being refined. The truth is, we want to choose the best possible sneak peek for you - something that captures the atmosphere and spirit of Whispers of the Samodiva in a way that sends a chill down your spine (in the best way).
We’ll be back very soon with that reveal - trust us, it’ll be worth the wait.
🌿 A Little Whisper About What’s Next…
Behind the curtains, we’ve also been working on something new. We’re not ready to say too much just yet, but let’s just say… this next project is designed for every tabletop player. It’s not a setting. It’s not a supplement. It’s a breath of fresh air - something you didn’t know you needed until now.
Expect more in the coming weeks, but know this: if you’ve enjoyed the feel and flavor of Wicked Echoes, you’re going to love what’s next.

👋 Hey everyone, Amelia here from the Wicked Echoes team! We’re back with an exciting update on Whisper of the Samodiva, and we’ve got a lot to share about how things are progressing behind the scenes.
✍️ Writing Progress The writing is moving forward at a solid pace. We’re deep into building the structure of the book, from core chapters to side quests and the eerie folklore-driven encounters that bring this setting to life. Our aim from day one has been to create something that doesn’t just “fit” into 5e, but that feels distinct - steeped in mood, mystery, and that creeping folk-horror atmosphere.
🛠️ Miniature Preview We’re also excited to show you some of the STL files that have been 3D printed - and we’ve got to say, they look even better in person. The details came out beautifully, and seeing them come to life physically has been incredibly rewarding. We hope you’ll enjoy this first look!
